Sid the Kid scores game winner in Shootout

Sid goes top shelf on Theodore to win in shootout

Last night was simply amazing. I was lucky enough to be at the game last night which saw rookie phenom Sidney Crosby lead the Pens to a 3-2 shootout win against 1st place Montreal Canadians. It was Sid’s first time to showcase to him homeland his skills. In all of my years of going to Pens games I have never heard the area rock the way it did going into OT and finally the shootout. 16,254 fans were on their feet making an almost deafening cheer. Don’t believe me? Check out the video of the shootout here (10MB). Thibault was finally on his game. Save after save was highlight reel material. Honestly, I’m still sitting here in awe. Fans were friggin CRYING when it was over. This game proved that hockey is back and more people are taking notice. It’s a good time to be a Pens fan. Steelers who?
